Dr. Kirk Webb – Director and Founder of the Celtic Center, Teacher and Facilitator, Spiritual Director, and Psychologist
I am a Celt in soul and heritage. I wander on the Christ path and have had a struggling, inspiring, life-giving, frustrating, doubting, and believing way of it. I feel very grateful to be shaped by a Celtic way of viewing the faith journey because it has helped me make some sense out of my faith, my love of Nature, my doubts and wanderings, my hope for humanity, my horror at modern events and circumstances, and my belief that our souls are the beautiful house of God.
I am a spiritual director, professor, and psychologist. I have had the privilege of working as a teacher, spiritual director, and psychotherapist for over 30 years and taught extensively in graduate programs for psychology, counseling, spirituality, and theology. I have a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary, a Masters degree in Counseling, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Seattle Pacific University. And I’m privileged to have had a short bit of study at the Jungian Institute in Zurich. I delight in taking regular pilgrimages to Ireland and Scotland, and I’ve been richly guided by the depth and insights of Celtic spirituality and history. That rich way and history inform my view of the soul in spiritual growth, spiritual direction, and personal belief and practice.
I’m a regular teacher, facilitator for the Celtic Center events, gatherings, and pilgrimages. Additionally, a variety of experienced spiritual directors, Celtic scholars and practitioners, and psychologists will present material and facilitate group growth and training experiences at the various Celtic Center offerings.
